Approximately 60 women participated in a social action related to Pink October, held from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., at the Bom Samaritano Social Assistance Center, Av. Ramos, 2545 in Macapá (AP), with activities focused on health, well‑being and hospitality. About 20 participants were residents of the neighborhood. The initiative involved the Central and Novo Horizonte churches, both in the state capital, linked to the Campo Missionário Amapaense (CAMAP) of the União Norte‑Nordeste Brasileira (UNNE).

The program, titled Você Linda!, gathered personal care services and health‑related appointments. According to information, the following services were offered: massages, hair hydration, blow‑dry, flat‑iron, hairstyles, facial mask and facial aesthetics, blood‑pressure measurement, blood‑glucose testing, collection for preventive cervical cancer screening (PCCU), hormonal dosing and psychological counseling.

In addition to the offered care, the women heard a message about the importance of caring for the body, presented in the Bible as the temple of the Holy Spirit. The proposal was to associate attention to physical health with the appreciation of life and Christian principles.

Dialogue and spiritual interest

During the action, one of the participants talked with sister Ozineide Caires, departmental leader for Women and Health of the União Norte‑Nordeste Brasileira (UNNE). On that occasion, the woman shared her desire to find a church to attend.

Sister Ozineide explained the origin of the Igreja de Deus based on the biblical account in Genesis and addressed the topic of the Sabbath. The conversation provided an opportunity to share biblical knowledge and hear the participant’s needs.

Solidarity and fellowship

The program also included breakfast, clothing donations and a raffle of gifts, as announced in the promotional material. At the end, the participants shared a lunch prepared by chef Édson Torres and his assistants.

The morning was described as a pleasant time of service and fellowship. The initiative highlighted the role of social actions in reaching out to the community, promoting well‑being and creating opportunities to share the biblical message through hospitality and personal relationships.
